How Sweet it is...

Sugar is well, something we know is not good for us.
It causes all sorts of health problems not to mention it is fungi and cancer's main food source.
Sugar is loaded into your soft drinks, fruit juices, sports drinks, and hidden in almost all processed foods—from bologna to pretzels to Worcestershire Sauce.
I often hear, "I don't eat a lot of sugar."
Really?
 Read your labels lately?

Sugar has been disguised now in so many ways.  If you are eating food from a box, can, wrapper, bag, freezer section, carton.....you can bet it has some form of sugar in it.

You can find the obvious sources of sugar on a label but here are other names that just mean one thing.

Sugar.

Remember:
1.  1 tsp of sugar can produce a million colonies of fungi!
2.  Sugar can reduce white blood cells by 50% up to 5 hours after ingestion!

Read your labels!  Take out your favorite cereal right now and find all the sources of sugar.
You might be quite surprised at what you find.

Hi Karen,
My daughter found your blog several weeks ago while researching some of her own health issues. I have fibro and chronic fatigue as well as all the other things that come with the side effects of the meds I take.
Anyway, about ten days ago, I started the probiotic and anti-fungus products that were highly recommended but have not gone to the extremes of changing my diet (yet). I have been experiencing more sweating than normal and being hot all the time and I don't know if this is a way my body is detoxing or if it is something else. I couldn't find anywhere on your blog about what kind of things you experienced while detoxing in the early stages. Can you share with me some of what you went through? Thanks!

I am so glad your daughter found my blog! And that she passed it along to you.

To answer your question- yes! Just taking the probiotics and anti-fungals WILL produce some "die off" symptoms. Even if not following the phase one diet ( which I hope you do as you do need to starve the yeast and fungi that are already present) you will experience any number of things. "Die off" can range from just a stomach ache, diarrhea , rashes, flu like symptoms, feeling like you were hit by a truck, head aches, muscle aches....from mild to severe. When I first started this I had horrible die off symptoms. It was like I was going backwards! I felt the way I did all those years living in pain. I just wanted to sleep. My whole body hurt. But it only lasts for a short time. Maybe a day or two. AND it's a great thing! What is happening is that you are killing off the fungi and this produces mycotoxins which are poisons. So naturally with this accumulation of toxins in your blood stream and body, you will feel bad until they get out. Drinking tons of water( adding fresh squeezed lemon juice helps even more) will help get these toxins out. Also taking psyllium husks (make sure they don't have added junk in them...just psyllium) will bind to the mycotoxins and take them out of the body via the bowels. Just last weekend I decided to "restart" taking the probiotics (I have been slack with diet and taking these for the last 2-3 months). I was in the bed for 2 days! All from probiotics. They are powerful at killing off yeast in the gut so they will produce an initial build up of toxins until your body gets rid of them. I have an article on my blog that addresses die off, I can't remember exactly where it is but if you do the "search" and put in die off, it should come off.
Feel free to email me personally if you have any further questions! I am not an expert, but I have lived this out and gotten over quite a few bumps in the road! kebarlow@bellsouth.net

Hope this helps!

Karen
